What happened in last few days ??

Last few days flooded my life with a plethora of new experiences..... met some old friends,made some new ones,learnt a thing or two abt marketing and stretching urself to limit during exams and how to not take a bath over a span of a week!!
So the story starts from the day we went to meet our guide with our project report....
We-Sir ,wrote the code got some results,but results are not expected.
Guide-Why?
I-(hesitatingly)dunno!!
Samir-Sir some problem with multioutput functions sharing
Guide-Oh yaa!!that may be a problem
I-we will do flipping to get favourable result....though i am sure we will not get drastic difference in results

I manage to copy the lift controller from arnab and submit it..got posters..got the relevant notes xeroxed before leaving to bangy....My cough and cold is getting worse(will i make it???)!!
We enter train and to samir's delight a girl is sitting in front !!
i informed nats ,abhik ,anurag of my coming to bangy... in train,then the usual train stuff ....talks and gossips ...strangely samir doesn't talk much in front of other ppl and also to gals as well(for whom he craves a lot)...i think he has a dual personality!!

Reached bangy 4hrs late :-(.....checked in and off we go for presentation(ironically for formal attire i forgot to bring my pants with me....only jeans available!!borrowed a pair of ill-fitting trousers from samir)....
Building of intel is not one of the most b'ful that u see in india ...moreover just too many rules and regulations ....got an intel tshirt ,bag and accesories at registeration....
Did a lot of bluffing and the intel mentor was impressed ......though our topic was not very familiar to most of the ppl out there !!
Evening took an expensive dinner with anurag(my old jee friend)....but since now he
is earning so obviously i was made not to pay and i gleefully accepted that!!
Next day was reminiscent of "The Apprentice " morning ,at 6:30 am phone rang and we were in bus by 7:30 ,i made shobhit (from iitd) and two cool dudes rachit and vibhor from iitk along with some ppl at NITIE friends.
By the evening barrage of lectures and bluffing had sucked a hell lot out of me and i was looking forward to meeting with nats....
The kanpuriya guys were extremely kool and they also had an appointment with their gf in forum(a mall in bangy).....So we all reached forum@8 pm...Sadly samir was not feeling well so he cudn't go.....Then we roamed in forum with their gf(who was working in infy).....Then nats came and we headed for pizza hut for a tr8(again ats paid bill....after all she is working in citibank yaar and earning!!).....
After gossiping and laughing nats asked me whether i have seen bangy ...i told NO with some kind of embarrasment in my voice and we two were off to MG road on her kinteic....After an hr we winded up the closing ceremony with vibhor's made in germany camera :))....
Next day i took first flight of my life from bangy to kolkata in jet airways ....and it was kinda new and awesome experience to see the earth studded with yellow stars in decreasing order of randomisation from kolkata to bangalore to hyderabad...
Traffic in bangalore sux i think hyderabad is much better city compared to bangy infrastructurewise ....
The first journey in plane knocked the voice out of my ears and i was virtually deaf when i landed at kolkalta....next time will carry the cotton buds with me for sure on a plane!!!!
Reached kgp at 5 am and straightaway went into mugga mode ......gotto manage a decent endsem in ADIC (was thinking of a fukka previously...first time in kgp)....makhaoed bioinfo exam(though i was thinking to get a B in that ,now i think will get a D) ,ACOAA was ok types(may be will get a C or luckily B) and managed to do extermly well in OOPs(may be will get an A or EX there).....
Cleaned my room ....completed all series after my exam ...got my monitor repaired....and sleeping a lot.....got a long time pending haircut...and obviously took a nice bath

Racing against time once again

Today submitted bioinfo assignment and to be frank with i completed the assignment in a very short time courtesy java.regexp but the proff gave us a format of submitting it and believe me the assignment's total timr was 2 hrs and the format making time stretched itself to 5 hrs....urggghhhhhh what a waste of time to write the documentation!!!
I am racing once again with time only three days left to go to bangy and i have to mug hell of a lot and i think i am going to bunk all classes to get this mugging thing working.First will complete ADIC then LISP then COAA in a day!!
Then on MOnday will try to finish bioinfo along with a friend.
Anything else will try to finish on tuesday.

Research SUX

For the last two months the thing which had been on my utmost priority list has been my btp.....I sincerely followed a heuristic and wrote a code of gigantic prportions for that heuristic but the worst thing about research is that u r trying to find a new thing .....It's a kind of gamble where u bet on ur idea(cards) and invest a lot of effort(money) on it......The results were not as we expected and it hurt definitely.
Anyways we will continue to work over idea and invest some more effort in dec but right bow endsems are looming large on horizon and gotta study so expect the next post in dec.
Going to bangy on 15th and will try to enjoy the whole experience and will write an interesting entry about the trip.
The basic positives from the whole experience are now i am a much better software engineer than what i was before!!Became a specialist in C++....learnt to write code in group.....learnt about managing large code.....got an insight on what kind of thiking goes behind a semmingly incomprehensible notion.....learnt how to do nightouts and ruin ur bodyclock......learnt how to bunk ur classes.

Engrossed in work!!

Life can be very demanding and i have been trying to cope up with it for last two weeks suffering from the bouts of insomnia for the first time in my life.
There simply has been lot of coding work going on in my coding workshop called b-318,rp.Since i remain aloof of the silly hall activities and highly mediocre interhall competitions ,i get ample time to do some quality work and contest with some of the best brains out their in the world.
Last three days have been frenetic wrote a parser for benchmark circuit in 3 hrs straight(very tuff to parse them to the data structure that i am working on),debugging helluva of a c++ project(which may be termed as best datastructure and challenging project i have ever laid my hand upon!!yahoo!!),wrote a toy prog for an utterly boring breadth(courtesy proff) using QT and last but not least the much hyped bioinfo project which i chose to in my fav lang "java".
So i guess coding for this sem has atlast come to an end ....but the assignments don't end here i have to now make a paper model for "lift controller" but fortuantely that assignkent has been done in our second year COAA lab so i guess will have to tapofy it from somebody with some changes in control unit......
Though i admit that above all thing is nerdy talk but can't escape from that as currently i am spending my life among nerds!!I guess this phase of life will also fade away leaving behind the exiquisite golden glittering trail of memoirs which i will always cherish for rest of my journey called "LIFE".
