Tips to write an awesome blog

1.Vocablury command is must(It can increase ur vocab significantly)
2.Panache of a pro writer(Read more and more work of different ppl)
3.Illustarte ur entry with symbolic pics if possible.

You all must be wondering now my entries mainly consist of my life and movie reviews.
The thing is movie reviews don't cost any time and it also tends to keep u track of ur movie watching habits and also provides u with a different perspective about the movies u have watched.

Secondly,my life is i guess is most imp to me(i guess it applies for everyone). What shud i do to make it better?how happy right now i am,these are the questions that matter to me the most.

review:Ultimate Romantic movie(KOREAN):MY SASSY GIRL(MY DIL GOES UMM.... FOR THIS MOVIE AND ITS ACTRESS)

imdb:Based on a series of true stories posted by Ho-sik Kim on the Internet describing his relationship with his girlfriend. These were later transformed into a best-selling book and the movie follows the book closely. It describes the meeting of Kyun-woo (Cha) and an unnamed girl. Kyun-woo is shamed into assisting the girl because the other passengers mistakenly think she is his girlfriend. Once he helps her, Kyun-woo develops a deep sense of responsibility for her which enables him to tolerate (somehow) the girls abuses.

My point best movie(romantic) ever!!!

KOREAN CUTE AWWWWWWWWW....movie:My tutor friend

from imdb: A man from a wealthy family who should be in his second year of college, is still finishing his highschool requirements. His family hire a tutor for him who is his own age but she comes from a poor background.

more from the my sassy girl school of film, my tutor friend can be funny at times, but often irritating. most acting is over the top, but i guess i'm not surprised. the action sequences deserve some merit though.

Self Analysis & My daily activities

Today i was just sitting doing self analysis as ever and i came to discover the fact
that surely i have made some progress in reaching towards my future goals....I still remember that pallid looking archies poster-"A little progress everyday adds upto big results".The pyrotechnics in JEE got me to this extremely competetive place but my lackadaisical interest in books and 'mug a day' exams have always thwarted away my ludicrous attempts to study books.
I belive the winner of race has to carry on with aplomb and i am not diffident about my abilities.I will persevere with the notion of hardwork, upgradation and zeal which has served me so well in past.May be this feeling of neurosis will slowly wither away and i will resume to work to full speed.....I know entertainment has abetted me in fertilizing the process of me getting away from engg books.
But i will work with evangelical zeal to get to my goal.

Time Management

This thing is a drk art if mastered there is nothing better in this asphyxating world.Time is money as they say but i would say it is davaluing to say that time is money atleast. The man become sumptuous and his alacrity grows if he knows this dark woodo magic.
Lately i have been paging through the scrolls of this art,and to my utter dismay the more i try to master ,more the guilt of wasting my time turns me pesky and then petulance takes over and i slowly realise that i am in deep soup.
But i have to break thru this epoch of wasting time and carry on my journey towards the greater deeds.
I am not whinging but i will definitely make a plan and act on it better sooner rather than later.

review:kung fu hustle

I liked Shaolin Soccer, it was full of laughs and Stephen Chow has done it again with Kung Fu Hustle. It's not in the same vein as Shaolin Soccer and it is not a belly full of laughs, but it certainly emphasised his love of action movies especially Martial Art movies. The film pays homage to all those Hong Kong Martial Arts Serials, Bruce Lee and the action genre in general. I would even say that Kung Fu Hustle is a more refined Shoalin Soccer in terms of storyline, action sequences and acting.

The setting is great with some nice scenes of old Hong Kong and the way people used to live. The fight scenes were pretty good, especially at the start with the three masters fighting the Axe Gang. Okay, the story was predictable but that didn't take away the enjoyment one bit.

Overall, it is a highly recommended movie to watch and I can't wait for his next film

Resolutions time again

Trilogy is calling the guys today to hotel Park(5 star) in kolkata today.
But since i have to study in kharagpur for one more year for my btech
and mtech so i have to wait for 1 more year.Dual are the breed which has been forgotten by trio.
But i am planning for the placemnet in one of google, microsoft, trilogy or yahoo....I am a programming chauvinist and i m continuously on track of improving myself in this field.....I am gonna continuously improve myself.....Now i know that i can do any kind of work given in any of my 5 favourites......I will have to increase my speed continuously and i think TOPCODER is the best place to do that.

On CAT front prparation have slowly kicked off.The best thing about CAT is that it is all about time management and you don't have to study anything special to crack cat....just you shud have speed accuracy and better taste of judgement.

My resolution is that b4 sleeping make a plan of things u are going to do next day...Thank god for another day of ur life.....And sleep like a baby.

Yesterday talked to natasha and glint in her voice has still not died.....her tinklish laughter can really be infectious.....I wished her b'day wishes of 24th aug...did some general bhaat etc etc .....Recently started a grp of my school and ppl are joining slowly but surely and i hope it becomes a large success.

Deepak also is going towards pune....I think pune has become job hub of india!!
But i think until and unless i decide to apply for a walkin(which i will definitely)i won't be going to pune!!:-))...
Presently working on two projects one with AP and one with RM.....I guess this upgradation of skills and the numerous projects will land me a damn good job in industry.
Since i always believe that any kind of knowledge doesn't go waste so will try to accumulate as much as possible in these 1 and a half years.

One more thing I think i will have a new gf in a week or so....courtesy ADIC classes!!:-))

review:Y tu Ma mambien(Don't know what it means)

This is going to be a very short review.

Abandoned by their girlfriends for the summer, teenagers Tenoch and Julio meet the older Luisa at a wedding. Trying to be impressive, the friends tell Luisa they are headed on a road trip to a beautiful, secret beach called Boca del Cielo(Heaven's mouth). Intrigued with their story and desperate to escape, Luisa asks if she can join them on their trip. Soon the three are headed out of Mexico City, making their way toward the fictional destination. Along the way, seduction, argument and the contrast of the trio against the harsh realities of the surrounding poverty ensue.

I don't know why i liked movie?
But it was just one of those movie which hits off with u when u see first frame of the movie. The treatment by director was totally unconventional..........The actors were good........Situations were highly realistic.....I watched movie for first 5 min and then couldn't get off as if somebody had cast a spell on me...thanx god i didn't have a test next day.

Review:Chokher Bali

Today i watched the Tagore's master piece chokher bali...........and the story was not full of twists but it was gripping(i don't know why?)The director Rituparno ghosh really has some kind of talent.......He has remained truthful to the spirit of novel in movie and his background reaserch work looms large on every aspect of movie whether it is the dress/culture sense or the sensitivity of the emotions of a widow or a married woman.
Th e cinematography is excellent and not to mention that both Aishwarya and Raima look gorgeous in their 1800's costumes.....(sometimes jewellery reminds me of kamasutra)....................
I mooted lot on the point what was the exact message of the movie?
The clue can be found out in Tagore's own confession that he didn't like the kind of sad ending of story .......which actually leaves the widow stranded in the shackles of the prjudices and malpractices at that time in the indian society.
I think he wanted to highlight the plight of a very young widow......He sexual, physical, mental and cultural tormentation.........the irony of her life........and partly the hypocrisy of the so called educated indians.
Overall I will give following ratings to movie:
story: 7/10
direction:9.5/10
cinematography:9.5/10
aish:9/10
raima:8/10
actor(I don't know his name!!):9/10
overall:8.5/10

Life is stagnant

From last 3-4 days i have done a lots of things but the net result is i still have nothing to show!!I guess this is called wastage of time.........participated in google code jam and found that my typing speed is still too slow!!
Anyways i was having a ranking of 139 just solved a 250 maeks problem but i think the 750 one was easier...........My friend just panicked as when i was solving 250 i gave him 750 one to devise the algo but he (i don't know how??) thought it was too tuff...so i concentrated on 250 one....
Well after competition was over i looked at 750 one and blurted "Holy shit!!",too easy!!
I guess my decision of learning C++ was very good now i am slowly but surely graduating to world of C++ and writing less code to save my time.
Other thing which is going on is CAT..........but i haven't been able to concentrate on it fully....though will try to get some time this week to analyse myself on that front.
My project is also not moving any further after submissionof synopsis i guess i have become lethargic and i shudn't otherwise guide and his JRO will definitely try to suck me in.
Tomorrow i have a test and it i yet another test in yet another sem..........From childhood i think i have alraedy given arnd 10000 tests so it's become now more of a routine thing(though i am not prepared.........just don't feel the kick of studying engineering now!!).
So my aims are CAT & to become damn good coder..........................Somebosy asked me why i don't write my social life here.......So i wud just like to say that the usual guys chat is too obviuous too write and the gals chat is too big secret to reveal.
SO i will procrastinate writing abt my social life.Till then goodbye

Some thoughts

I have been trying to learn Qt for quite a while and the experience has been rewarding....I have learnt abt intricacies of what makes a good package....hopefully another 20 hrs + 1 day and i will be able to master and add the new beast in the zoo of my skills.
Recently submitted an entry in "intel India Student Research contest".....Guide was first time really helpful....but i must mention that he was atleast helpful to me during my last year.....gave me lots of books and area to study.......I believe everything happens for something good in life and as Amitabh bacchan famusly quotes-"If something happens which u wanted, then its definitely good but if something don't happen according to ur wish then its better,as that is ur destiny and it is planned by god".And as Lord Krishna puts the famous "Karma Principle".
Life is nothing but a series of karmas and one who is not giving his 100% is surely offending the almighty himself.
lots of things are presently going in my mind and i have zeroed on CAT to be my realistic aim next year...Presently i am now in phase of gauging my positives and negatives and since i still have ample amount of time in my kitty i am making my moves cautiously.

Presently there are three things on my agenda of CAT:
1.Improve vocab=>PT+gre+regular novels+surfing will suffice....It's not a prep kind of thing it's just gradual increment ....i believe
2.Time management=>tests tests and tests
3.Maths calculation improvement=>trying for last 20 yrs....but alas!my favourite quote is "i don't like maths".........

Meanwhile NCERT books definitely give me a sound sleep.:-)

Lately some chaos is going on in deptt but i knew it was inevitable as some smart ppl think they are oversmart but they aren't !!

And i believe that ur social life is a set of sine curves for where each person has his own life as a sine curve......and when the end days come u will see all those sine curves and will note that every sine curve started at origin and came back at origin......Sometimes ur curve was on high and sometimes ur friend's ....so that doesn't matter to me who is on high presently!!

Sometimes old pals and songs seem inresistible..........presently listening to mukesh and chatting to my 7 yr old friend.
Project Seriousness rating-4/10
Coming rating=>Catcher on the Rye

project project project

Somehow it always seems to me that i have changed a lot in last 3 years.Life i think is like a river and ur character is like the shores of river....I am somehow fortunate enough that i haven't faced any floods and that has led to gradual shaping of my shores during last theree years.... slow and steady........The last known flood was when i was preparing for JEE....But now it seems that i ca't delay the inevitable anymore and will have to face a macabre tide in next year.....and i will have to mend my shoies in a short time ....so that my river of life remains pious and calm as ever.............

Another major change that has come in to me,is my ever decreasing appetite to learn from the oldest source of wisdom "THE BOOKS".To quote one of my best friends-"BOOKS ARE THE MOST WASTEFUL SOURCE OF INFORMATION" and i agree totally to him!(I CAN"T EVEN IMAGINE MYSELF AGREEING TO THIS THOUGHT DURING MY SCHOOL LIFE)......I guess i have become more application oriented.......Read just whatever is necessary and that too to bare minimum!!!

Lately I have started liking the thrill of doing work ,rather than attending boring unstimualting lectures....I really pity on the ppl who attend lectures no to learn anything but rather to get good grades.....I ask u a question wud u eat cockroach if u know it's beneficial for ur health???So why listen to lectures which u and ur proff both know are going to amount to absolutely zero interms of real life utility!!
I have been trying new technologies and came out with flying colors in all kinds of work assigned to me.....lately i have been working on a project to make a CAD tool and the kind of work excited due to thrill of doing something constructive and new...and we are gonna participate in INTEL INDIA RESEARCH CONTEST(though i am not a research person ).....Working on a C++ PROJECT ......
Developing my reading habits......and working on my not so far challanging future...MAY god help me and give me the strength to face the storm.

latest news:Trying to mingle out witth a matki.....she gave me sorta wierd smile.....i think she was flirting with me....She still has my pen with her.....and i m gonna get it;-)

My Dedication rating towards project:2/10(hopful of a 300% increase in rating by end of this month)

EAST OR WEST-QT IS BEST

Last few days my poor soul has been very busy in searching an ideal c++ IDE which will make me able to develop platform independent appliation in C++....But more i mined the web the more disappoinetd i became.
The VC++ and so called MFC and win32 API all were windows oriented and how do i do application development for linux??The question bugged me hard and I somehow stumbled upon QT.
Now I had to tame this beast...Spent a lot of time in reading about it and to make sure that i was indeed following the right path!I was fortunate enough to unknowingly install QT on my linux and did some toy application development in linux and was quite ecstatic to see the results.Only 10 lines of code and i was seeing a piece of neat GUI application.
Now as mentioned on trolltech website that same code will run on windows with just a simple recompilation of same code on windows ....I was lured to do the experiment...But as windows QT is not free(infact 1500$ is cost). So i opted for rial version with a crack(I don't want it for 30 days only and also with full features ....GNU ppl give hopeless free version of QT windows).
After lot of path setting of MS.NET ,i was finally able to install QT successfully and genrate Makefile.
In aniticipation i ran 'make'
and alas it gave errors........I tried manty things in makefile but no fruitful effect....I got so frustrated that i again spet my two days learning VC++ and MFC....But somewhere down in my heart the flame of QT was still burning.
And on yestrday's destined night at 2am ....i got up suddenly out of my deep slumber to find Kshitizda's milk on my table....I drank it.....and the fairy of sleep vanished from the castle of my eyes.
I completed "the alchemist" in 1 hr but alas the sleep had left my eyes.So i again did some gooling on QT and witth renewed enthusiasm reinstalled it...set paths .....cracked it;-)....methodically........generated Makefile and then i noticed that MS.NET uses 'nmake' instead of 'make' and voila it worked!!!!
I kicked myself at missing such a minute detail...but joy of seeing the same piece of sourcecode working on linux and windows simultaneously...washed away all the frustration and I first time understood and realised that "Morning had arrived after long gloomy night signalled by chirping of birds".....And suddenly "the tide of the sleep of a satisfied man engulfed me".....Slept like a baby after that:-*
Rating for QT 9.5/10
Rating for MS.net(VC++) 8/10

review:HG WELLS-A dream of Armageddon

COMING SOON
I AM ALSO TRYING TO READ AN AGATHA CHRISTIE NOVEL>>>WILL BE POSTING ALL THE REVIEWS SOON

review:The Alchemist

The book i completed in 5 hrs straight.
It has a bit of philosophical tinge associated with it....But despite that book is expremely well knitted and tend to make u turn the pages in anticipation of wat's going to happen next.
The book basically supported my three philosophies and i liked the way it blurted out those extremely hard philosophies in such a simple flow of story of a shepherd.

Philosophy#1:At that point in their lives, everything is clear and everything is possible. They are not afraid to dream, and to yearn for everything they would like to see happen to them in their lives. But, as time passes, a mysterious force begins to convince them that it will be impossible for them to realize their destiny. It's a force that appears to be negative, but actually shows you how to realize your destiny. It prepares your spirit and your will, because there is one great truth on this planet: whoever you are, or whatever it is that you do, when you really want something, it's because that desire originated in the soul of the universe. It's your mission on earth.

Philosophy#2:And, when you "want" something and put hard work, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it

Philosophy#3:World is a desert and Everything in world is a mirage......Whatever u seek to get in this world is within urself.Happiness, contentment, fame everything is inside you.....you just have to search ur soul.

I also liked the happy ending of book as it reaffirmed my faith in all the above mentioned philosophies.
Conclusively,rating(for non philosophical ppl)=7/10
rating(for philosophical ppl)=9/10

review:DA VINCI CODE

This is the book which has made me an avid fan od Dan Brown.
The choice was between the ususal HP book "the sixth book" and "Da vinci code"....I had been trying to read da vinci before that fateful day...but somehow couldn't get pass thru ten or twelve pages...
But at home the soothing peace of a railway colony and scarcity of friends makes the computers and books ur best friend...Infact i believe that my locality is best if u are a writer or a serious aspirant of an exam which requires lots of reading!!
So this will not be a normal run-of-a-mill review of the book....You can do a google for that..
I will just present my viewpoint on the controversial subject...
I was fortunate enough that i completed "da vinci code" in 12 hrs straight...And very next day when the questions about the phenomenon known as "Christ" were looming large on my mind...a documntary titled "da vinci code:fact or fiction" was aired on Nationa geographic which gradually meticulously dissected each and every controversial topic in the book along with Dan Brown's own revealations.
I didn't know before that dan brown is a historian.
The riveting story is about the controversial "Holy grail" plotted in the backdrops of police-convict chases in paris streets and as usual uses the interesting ideas of "CRyptography by Dan Brown"...to satisfy reader's hunger for discovery.
There is lot of history involved and since i like to both computers and history along with the thrill ....it was trully a treat to read the book rythmating with "Carry on dancing" of savage garden.
I also have read "digital fortress by dan brown"....which used "NSC and translater-the super parallel computing computer" as its main backdrops....but surely da vinci code wins hands down.
The basic thing that i didn't like about da vinci is that in midway da vinci made a terrible mistake of introducing the crutched villain in such a language that i sorta guessed in midway of novel that who is the real culprit!!and that really killed the dying stages of the novel for me!!
As i already knew the twist in the plot.
My views about jesus are still hazy and i really don't want to comment on that conflicting piece of topic.....I would just say that i still have faith in "the Christ" and even the truth can't change it.
I liked the research author had done in terms of paintings and cryptography.
All in all i will give the book a rating of 8.5/10.
